Most people searching for the 545 watt solar panel price in Pakistan are not starting from scratch. They have LONGi Hi-MO 5 or JA DeepBlue 3.0 plates on the roof from a few years ago, one has cracked or gone missing, or they want to add a few more. The dated table above lists the live 545 W rates. This page is written for that buyer: what the two 545 W models are, how to match them to an older array, and when a different wattage is the better move.
The cheapest A-grade 545 W plate on our sheet is currently Rs 21,255, or Rs 39 per watt. Because 545 W is an older PERC bin, stock moves in and out of the market, so it pays to check availability before you take a plate off the roof or book an installer for the day. If the exact model is not available, the sections below explain which near matches work and which do not.

545 watt solar panel specifications
Two models dominate the 545 W bin in Pakistan. Both are Mono PERC with 144 half-cut cells, and their electrical figures are almost the same.
| Spec (maker datasheet) | LONGi Hi-MO 5 LR5-72HPH-545M | JA Solar DeepBlue 3.0 JAM72S30-545/MR |
|---|---|---|
| Voc | 49.65 V | 49.75 V |
| Isc | 13.92 A | 13.93 A |
| Vmp / Imp | 41.80 V / 13.04 A | 41.80 V / 13.04 A |
| Size | 2256 × 1133 × 35 mm (earlier batches) or 2278 × 1134 × 35 mm (later batches) | 2278 × 1134 × 35 mm |
| Size in feet | 7.40 × 3.72 ft or 7.47 × 3.72 ft | 7.47 × 3.72 ft |
| Weight | 27.2–27.5 kg | 28.1 kg |
| Efficiency | 21.3% (2256 mm) or 21.1% (2278 mm) | 21.1% |
| Power temp. coefficient | about -0.34%/°C | -0.35%/°C |
| Warranty (product / power) | 12 years / 25 years | check the distributor’s card |
The working point (Vmp and Imp) is identical to two decimal places. That is unusual, and useful: a JA 545 and a LONGi 545 behave the same in a string.
The two LONGi frame sizes
LONGi has sold the Hi-MO 5 545 W in two lengths. Earlier stock is 2256 × 1133 mm; later stock is 2278 × 1134 mm, the same as most newer panels. The electrical side is the same, but the 22 mm difference matters on a roof:
- If your structure has fixed end clamps set for 2256 mm plates, a 2278 mm plate will not drop into the same slot without moving a rail or clamp.
- If you use mid clamps on long rails, the extra 22 mm per plate adds up along a row. Ten plates need about 22 cm more rail.
- The longer version weighs a little more, which does not matter for a few replacements.
Measure an existing plate before you order. Our solar panel size in feet guide shows how to measure frame length and clamp gaps.
Reading a 545 W label
Before you order a replacement, take a clear photo of the sticker on the back of one of your plates. You need these lines:
- Model: for example LR5-72HPH-545M or JAM72S30-545/MR. The number in the middle is the wattage bin.
- Pmax, Voc and Isc at STC: compare these with the new plate’s label.
- Maximum system voltage: usually 1500 V DC for these models, sometimes 1000 V on older stock.
- Serial number and barcode: needed for any warranty question.
- Certification marks (IEC 61215 / 61730): confirm it is a certified module.
If the sticker has faded in the sun, check your original bill, the carton or the installer’s records for the model and serials.
545 W vs nearby wattages: which should you buy?
For a replacement or a small extension, the question is not which wattage is best in general. It is which plate will work best alongside what you already have.
| Option | Cheapest A-grade | Price per watt | Match with an old 545 W string | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 540 W | Rs 20,520 | Rs 38 | Good: same PERC generation, current within about 2% | Small top-ups when 545 W is out of stock |
| 545 W | Rs 21,255 | Rs 39 | Exact | Replacing a broken plate |
| 550 W | Rs 20,900 | Rs 38 | Good: same generation, slightly higher current | Extensions on the same MPPT |
| 585 W N-type | Rs 23,400 | Rs 40 | Poor in the same string; fine on a separate MPPT | A new string or a new system |
What this means in practice:
- One or two broken plates: buy 545 W of the same brand if you can, or the other brand’s 545 W. Either drops straight in.
- Adding a few plates to an existing string: 545 or 550 W is fine. The 550 watt solar panel price page lists more brands if 545 W is hard to find.
- Adding a whole new string on a spare MPPT: you are free to use N-type plates there, which give more units per watt in summer.
- Starting fresh: compare 545 W with the 540 watt solar panel price and the N-type sizes; whichever is cheaper per unit over 25 years wins.
How many 545 W panels for 3, 5 and 10 kW (with price)
If you are building new with 545 W plates, these are the counts.

| System | 545 W panels | DC size | Panel cost (cheapest 545 W) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 kW | 6 | 3.27 kW | Rs 127,530 |
| 5 kW | 10 | 5.45 kW | Rs 212,550 |
| 10 kW | 19 | 10.36 kW | Rs 403,845 |
Replacing or adding to an existing system
Most 545 W jobs are smaller than that. Here is how to plan one.
- Read the label of an existing plate: brand, model code, wattage, Voc and Isc.
- Count how many plates are in each string. Your installer’s drawing or the inverter app usually shows this.
- For a replacement, buy the same wattage. One plate is a single line on the bill, but get the serial on it anyway.
- For an extension, check the inverter. Adding one plate to a string of 9 on a 500 V hybrid takes it to 10, about 527 V on a cold morning, which is over the limit. Add a new string instead.
- Check the inverter’s total PV limit before adding plates. Many allow some oversizing, but not unlimited.
- Ask for a structure check: new rails or clamps for any new row.
How many units does a 545 watt panel produce in Pakistan?
One 545 W panel produces roughly 820 to 1,050 units a year depending on the city. Figures below come from long-term solar data for each city at a south-facing tilt, with about 22% taken off for heat, dust, wiring and inverter losses.
| City | Summer per day | Winter per day | Average per month | Per year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Karachi | about 2.6 units | about 2.2 units | about 77 | about 945 |
| Hyderabad | about 2.8 units | about 2.1 units | about 77 | about 935 |
| Lahore | about 2.7 units | about 1.5 units | about 68 | about 825 |
| Quetta | about 3.6 units | about 2.1 units | about 87 | about 1,055 |
What one broken plate costs you
A cracked or stolen plate is a common reason to buy a single 545 W panel. Here is what it costs to leave it unreplaced:
| City | Units lost per month with one plate missing | Units lost per year |
|---|---|---|
| Karachi | about 77 | about 945 |
| Lahore | about 68 | about 825 |
| Quetta | about 87 | about 1,055 |
And a cracked plate left in the string can cost more than its own output. Cracked cells heat up, can create hot spots, and in a series string the weakest plate holds the others back. Remove or replace it quickly.
Spotting a weak plate from the inverter app
You do not always need to climb on the roof to find a problem plate.
- Open the inverter app at noon on a clear day and compare the power of each MPPT input.
- If two strings have the same number of plates but one is more than 5 to 10% lower, something on that string is wrong.
- Look at the string voltage. A string of 10 plates showing the voltage of 9 suggests a bypassed or failed plate.
- Then inspect: cracked glass, a burnt mark near the junction box or a melted connector are the usual culprits.
Coastal note for Karachi and Hyderabad: salt and humidity corrode frames, clamps and MC4 connectors faster than inland. When you replace a plate, check the neighbouring clamps and connectors too.
Remember that under NEPRA’s net billing rules for new connections, exported units are credited at a much lower rate than imported ones, so the units your array produces are worth most when you use them during the day.
What can a 545 watt solar panel run?
At midday a 545 W PERC plate gives roughly 400 to 445 W of usable AC power. Here is what a small Karachi clinic or office could run on a 6-plate (3.27 kW) system during the day.

| Load | Draw | Number | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| LED panel lights | 18 W | 12 | about 220 W |
| Ceiling fans (AC type) | 80 W | 6 | about 480 W |
| Computers with monitors | 120 W | 3 | about 360 W |
| Small medicine fridge | about 100 W average | 1 | about 100 W |
| 1.5 ton inverter AC | about 1,000–1,300 W | 1 | about 1,150 W |
| Total running load | about 2.3 kW |
Six plates give about 2.5 kW of usable power at noon in summer, so this fits with a little room. In winter the same plates give much less at midday, but the AC is off, so the remaining load still fits.
Home example in Hyderabad
Take a family in Latifabad with a 10-plate 545 W system (5.45 kW) and a 5 kW hybrid inverter.
- Average output: about 26 units a day, close to 770 a month.
- Winter is mild, so even December gives around 20 units a day.
- Daytime load of fans, fridge and one AC uses about 16 units; the rest charges the battery or exports.
- If one plate cracks in a storm, the family loses about 77 units a month until it is replaced with another 545 W plate.
For a single plate, think of it like this: one 545 W panel at noon runs about 5 ceiling fans, or 11 DC fans, or a fridge plus lights for a small home.
Best inverter for 545 W panels
The 545 W plates were usually installed with 5 to 10 kW inverters. When you replace or add plates, the inverter’s limits do not change, so check them again.
| Inverter limit | 545 W plates per string (cold Voc about 52.7 V) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 450 V PV input | up to 8 | common on older single-phase hybrids |
| 500 V PV input | up to 9 | adding a tenth plate is not safe |
| 600 V PV input | up to 11 | many single-phase on-grid units |
| 1000 V PV input | up to 18 | three-phase on-grid |
Current is no problem: 13.9 A Isc fits almost any inverter.
If your existing inverter is a hybrid and you are thinking about a bigger change, remember that a battery adds evening use without adding plates. With net billing, many owners of 5 kW PERC systems now spend on a battery rather than on more panels.
Replacing the inverter but keeping 545 W plates
Inverters usually fail long before panels. If yours needs replacing, the 545 W plates can stay.
- Note the existing string layout and each string’s plate count before removing anything.
- Choose a new inverter whose PV voltage limit fits the longest string with a cold-morning margin.
- Check MPPT count. Two MPPTs make future N-type extensions easy.
- Ask the installer to test each string’s open-circuit voltage and polarity before connecting.
- Keep the old DC isolator only if it is rated for the string voltage and still switches cleanly.
When adding a new string of N-type plates to an old inverter, put it on the spare MPPT. If there is no spare MPPT, either replace the inverter with a two-MPPT model or keep the extension in the same 545 W PERC family.
Buying tips before you pay
Buying one or two 545 W plates is a small purchase, but the same checks apply.

- Bring a photo of your existing plate’s label so the dealer can match the model.
- Measure the length of your current plates: 2256 or 2278 mm.
- Ask for the manufacturing date. 545 W is no longer a new bin, so stock may be older. That is fine if it has been stored indoors.
- Inspect for cracks, scratches and a sound junction box before paying. Check the cable connectors match yours (MC4 or a compatible type).
- Get a bill with model, wattage and serial number, even for a single plate.
- Ask for the warranty card. Even a replacement plate deserves one.
- If the plate broke in a storm, note that the manufacturer’s warranty covers defects, not storm or impact damage. Check whether your home insurance covers it.
For LONGi’s full range see the LONGi solar panel price page. Our price sheet has no Jinko 545 W plate, but its Tiger Pro 540 and 550 W are close electrical matches; see the Jinko solar panel price page. Every size is on the solar panel price list.
Frequently asked questions
What is the 545 watt solar panel price in Pakistan?
A-grade 545 watt panels start from Rs 21,255 on our sheet as of 2 Nov 2026. LONGi Hi-MO 5 and JA DeepBlue 3.0 are the two main models; the table at the top shows both rates.
Can I replace a broken 545 watt panel with a different brand?
Yes. LONGi's LR5-72HPH-545M and JA's JAM72S30-545/MR have the same working voltage and current, so either can replace the other in a string. Check the frame length matches your structure first.
What is the size of a 545 watt solar panel?
JA's 545 W panel is 2278 × 1134 × 35 mm. LONGi's Hi-MO 5 545 W comes in two lengths, 2256 mm in earlier batches and 2278 mm in later ones, so measure an existing plate before ordering. Both are about 3.7 feet wide.
Can I add 545 watt panels to my 585 watt system?
Not in the same string, because the current and voltage differ. Put the 545 W plates on a separate MPPT, or match a 585 W string with more 585 W plates.
How many 545 watt panels do I need for a 5 kW system?
Ten panels give 5.45 kW. For 10 kW you need 19 panels, which gives 10.36 kW.
How many units does a 545 watt panel produce in Karachi?
About 2.6 units a day on average, or around 945 units a year. Karachi's mild, sunny winters keep output steadier than in Lahore or Islamabad.
Does the warranty cover a 545 watt panel broken in a storm?
No. The maker's product warranty covers manufacturing defects, not impact or storm damage. Check whether your home insurance covers the system.
Is 545 W Mono PERC or N-type?
Both main 545 W models are Mono PERC with 144 half-cut cells. If you are starting a new system rather than matching an old one, compare them with N-type plates at 580 W and above.
