Canadian solar panels price in Pakistan starts from Rs 25,155 on today’s sheet, and the N-type TOPBiHiKu6 590 W, the plate most buyers end up comparing, is Rs 25,370 or Rs 43 per watt. Canadian Solar is a less common sight on Pakistani roofs than Jinko or Longi, which is part of its appeal. Below we explain what each Canadian model is, where the “Canadian 585 watt” fits in, how the warranty works, and how the brand stacks up against its rivals.

About Canadian solar
Canadian Solar was founded in 2001 in Ontario, Canada, by Dr Shawn Qu, and its shares trade on the Nasdaq. The name confuses some buyers: the company is headquartered in Canada, but like almost every large panel maker, most of its cell and module production happens in Asia. A “Canadian” panel in Pakistan is a Canadian Solar brand product, not a panel shipped from Canada.
| Fact | Detail |
|---|---|
| Founded | 2001, Ontario, Canada |
| Listing | Nasdaq (Canadian Solar Inc.) |
| Where panels are made | Mainly the company’s factories in Asia |
| Bankability | Regularly listed as Tier 1 by BloombergNEF |
| Main families in Pakistan | TOPBiHiKu6 (N-type TOPCon bifacial, 585 and 590 W). The older HiKu6 550 W PERC is now hard to find, and HiKu7 650 W is seen only as B-grade |
Canadian Solar has a long record in utility-scale projects around the world, and in Pakistan it is better known among commercial installers than among home buyers. That works in your favour in one way: because fewer people ask for “Canadian” by name, it is a less obvious target for relabelling than Jinko. It also means fewer dealers keep it in stock, so you may need to ask around.
Is Canadian Solar a good choice for Pakistan?
For most buyers, yes, provided you buy the right model. The N-type TOPBiHiKu6 matches the best Tier 1 panels on efficiency, heat loss and power warranty. The questions are practical ones rather than quality ones:
- Can your dealer get it? Canadian stock is thinner on the ground than Jinko, especially outside the big cities.
- Can your roof take it? The bifacial version is a heavy glass-glass plate.
- Will you add panels later? If so, check the dealer expects to keep the same model, or plan to put future panels on a separate inverter input.
Canadian solar panel models explained
The model names look like alphabet soup, but two parts are easy to read: “TOP” means N-type TOPCon cells and “Bi” means bifacial. The number is the product generation, with 7 being the larger format.
| Series | Model code | Cell type | Power range (datasheet) | Size sold here | Efficiency | Live price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HiKu6 | CS6W-550MS | Mono PERC, mono-facial | 530 to 555 W | 550 W | about 21.3% | Hard to find now |
| TOPBiHiKu6 | CS6W-585TB-AG | N-type TOPCon, bifacial, dual glass | 575 to 600 W | 585 W | about 22.6% | Rs 25,155 |
| TOPBiHiKu6 | CS6W-590TB-AG | N-type TOPCon, bifacial, dual glass | 575 to 600 W | 590 W | 22.8% | Rs 25,370 |
| HiKu7 | CS7N-650MS | Mono PERC, large format | 640 to 665 W | 650 W | about 20.9% | Only B-grade seen |
HiKu6: Canadian’s older PERC panel
The HiKu6 550 W PERC is now hard to find in Pakistan, as dealers have moved to the N-type TOPBiHiKu6. It is the standard-size mono PERC panel, 2278 x 1134 x 30 mm and about 27.6 kg. It is a sound, proven design, but in Pakistan’s heat its -0.34%/°C temperature coefficient costs more output than N-type panels. The power warranty is 25 years. It makes sense only if the per-watt rate is clearly lower than N-type alternatives; compare it on our 550 watt price page.
TOPBiHiKu6: the one most buyers should look at
TOPBiHiKu6 is Canadian’s N-type TOPCon bifacial module in the same 2278 x 1134 mm footprint as most 580 to 590 W panels. It is glass on both sides (2.0 mm heat-strengthened front and back), so it is heavier than a mono-facial panel at about 32.3 kg.
| Datasheet spec | TOPBiHiKu6 (CS6W-TB-AG) |
|---|---|
| Power classes | 575, 580, 585, 590, 595, 600 W |
| Efficiency | 22.8% at 590 W, up to 23.2% at 600 W |
| Bifaciality | about 80% |
| Size and weight | 2278 x 1134 x 30 mm, about 32.3 kg |
| Temperature coefficient (Pmax) | -0.29%/°C |
| Product warranty | 12 years |
| Power warranty | 30 years; no more than 1% loss in year one, then no more than 0.4% a year |
“Bifaciality 80%” means the rear side produces up to about 80% as much as the front would under the same light. In practice the rear only gets a small amount of reflected light, so the real gain depends on what is under the panel.
TOPBiHiKu6 electrical data
Front-side values at standard test conditions, from Canadian Solar’s datasheet:
| Parameter | CS6W-585TB-AG | CS6W-590TB-AG |
|---|---|---|
| Voltage at max power (Vmp) | 43.3 V | 43.5 V |
| Current at max power (Imp) | 13.52 A | 13.57 A |
| Open-circuit voltage (Voc) | 52.4 V | 52.6 V |
| Short-circuit current (Isc) | 14.00 A | 14.06 A |
| Max system voltage | 1500 V or 1000 V version | 1500 V or 1000 V version |
| Junction box | IP68, 3 bypass diodes | IP68, 3 bypass diodes |
One detail installers notice: the standard cable leads are short, about 300 mm on the positive side and 200 mm on the negative. They are designed for panels mounted side by side in a row. If your layout spaces plates apart or turns them, the installer may need proper extension cables with matching connectors. Never join cables by twisting and taping.
With a Voc of 52.6 V, the 590 W runs at a slightly higher voltage than a Jinko Tiger Neo, so you fit slightly fewer plates in one string on the same inverter. As a rough check, divide the inverter’s maximum PV voltage by 52.6 and then by 1.1, and round down.
HiKu7: big plate, big structure
HiKu7 650 W is now seen in Pakistan only as B-grade stock, so treat any offer with care. It is a large-format PERC panel built for commercial and ground-mounted projects. At 2384 x 1303 mm and about 35.7 kg it is noticeably wider and heavier than the standard 2278 x 1134 mm plate. Standard home structures and clamps sized for 1134 mm wide panels will not fit it. Its datasheet lists no more than 2% loss in year one and 0.55% a year after. Unless you are doing a large shed or factory roof with a structure designed for it, a 590 W TOPBiHiKu6 is easier to live with. You can compare other large plates on the 650 watt price page.
What about the Canadian 585 watt?
Many people search for the Canadian solar panel price in Pakistan 585 watt. Canadian’s TOPBiHiKu6 range does include a 585 W bin (CS6W-585TB-AG), which is the same panel as the 590 W, sorted 5 W lower. Our price sheet now tracks both the 585 W and the 590 W. As a guide:
| Value | |
|---|---|
| Canadian TOPBiHiKu6 585 W, live | Rs 25,155 |
| Canadian TOPBiHiKu6 590 W, live | Rs 25,370 |
| Cheapest 585 W panel of any brand, live | Rs 23,400 |
| Canadian 585 W efficiency (same frame) | about 22.6% |
If a dealer offers a Canadian 585, expect a price very close to the 590 and compare per watt. If he cannot give you the full model code, ask why.
How many Canadian 590 W plates for a home?
| System size | TOPBiHiKu6 590 W plates | Actual DC size | Panel weight on the roof |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 kW | 6 | about 3.54 kW | about 195 kg |
| 5 kW | 9 | about 5.31 kW | about 290 kg |
| 10 kW | 17 | about 10.03 kW | about 550 kg |
The weight column is just the panels. Add the steel structure on top. On an older roof slab, ask a mason or engineer to look at it before a 10 kW glass-glass system goes up.
Does bifacial pay off on your roof?
The rear glass of a TOPBiHiKu6 only earns extra when light reaches it. Three things decide how much:
| Factor | Low rear gain | Better rear gain |
|---|---|---|
| Height of the structure | Panels 1 to 2 feet above the slab | Raised frame, 6 feet or more |
| Surface below | Dark concrete, dust, clutter | White-painted roof, light tiles, light soil |
| Row spacing | Rows packed tightly | Open space around and below the panels |
On a typical low frame over a grey concrete roof, treat the bifacial gain as a small bonus, not something to pay much extra for. On a car porch, a raised frame over a white roof or a ground mount, the extra output becomes worth having.
Canadian solar panel warranty in Pakistan
| Model | Product warranty | Power warranty | Year-1 loss | Yearly loss after |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TOPBiHiKu6 (N-type bifacial) | 12 years | 30 years | 1% or less | 0.4% or less |
| HiKu6 (PERC) | 12 years | 25 years | see warranty statement | see warranty statement |
| HiKu7 (PERC, large) | see warranty statement | linear | 2% or less | 0.55% or less |
The TOPBiHiKu6 power guarantee works out to at least about 87.4% of rated output at year 30. On a 590 W plate that is still about 515 W after three decades.
How claims work in Pakistan: Canadian Solar sells here through importers and distributors, and your dealer is the first point of contact. Before you buy, ask:
- Which importer or distributor brought in this stock?
- Will the dealer handle collection and testing if a plate fails?
- Is the warranty statement for this model available in writing?
Write the model code and every serial number on your invoice. Canadian’s warranty terms are set out in its Limited Warranty Statement, which the datasheets refer to; ask the dealer for a copy that matches your model.
Handling dual-glass panels
Glass-glass plates are tougher against moisture and UV than backsheet panels, but they need careful handling:
- Carry them on edge, two people per plate, and never stack them flat with weight on top.
- Do not stand or kneel on them, even briefly, during installation.
- Use the clamping positions shown in Canadian’s installation manual; dual-glass panels are less forgiving of clamps in the wrong place.
- Check every corner for chips on delivery. A chipped edge on a glass back can spread into a crack.
What voids it
- Physical damage from handling, walking on panels or falling objects
- Drilling the frame or changing the connectors
- Fixing the panel outside the clamping zones in the installation manual (important for heavy dual-glass plates)
- Using a structure that lets the panel flex in high wind
How to check an original Canadian panel
We could not find a public online serial number lookup from Canadian Solar like the one Jinko offers, so verification relies more on paperwork and physical checks. Do not trust any “Canadian verification” website that is not on Canadian Solar’s own domain.
| Check | Genuine Canadian TOPBiHiKu6 590 W | Warning sign |
|---|---|---|
| Model code on label | CS6W-590TB-AG (or the bin you are buying) | Only “Canadian 590” or a code not in Canadian’s datasheets |
| Back of panel | Glass, not a white backsheet | A backsheet on a “bifacial” panel |
| Weight | About 32 kg | Much lighter |
| Size | 2278 x 1134 x 30 mm | Different dimensions |
| Label values | Match the datasheet for that bin | Round or mismatched numbers |
| Serial | Present on label and module, matching | Missing or mismatched |
| Paperwork | Dealer names the importer, gives a warranty statement | No documents at all |
Steps to follow:
- Ask for the full model code and check it exists in Canadian Solar’s published datasheets.
- Photograph the serial number and label of every plate.
- If in doubt, email the serial numbers to Canadian Solar through the contact form on its official website and ask them to confirm the product and its sales region.
- Ask your installer to measure open-circuit voltage on a few plates in sunlight and compare with the label.
- Compare the price with the live sheet. A Canadian 590 far below Rs 23,600 is a warning.
For a deeper guide on serial checks and panel testing, see our Jinko solar panel verification page; the testing steps apply to every brand.
Signs of a relabelled or B-grade plate
Fake Canadian panels are less common than fake Jinko or Longi plates, but relabelled stock and B-grade modules do turn up. A B-grade panel is a real factory panel that failed a quality check, so it may carry a genuine-looking label while having cosmetic or electrical faults. Look closely at each plate before it goes on the roof:
- Uneven cell colour: patches of lighter or darker cells can point to mixed or rejected cells.
- Scratches or chips on the glass: dual-glass panels should arrive clean, with no corner chips.
- Bubbles or yellowing: air pockets or discoloured lamination are a sign of poor storage or a rejected module.
- A loose or resealed junction box: the box and cables should be firmly bonded with no fresh glue.
- A sticker over an older label: peel-at-the-edge labels or a second label underneath are a clear warning.
If several plates in one batch show these marks, ask the dealer to swap the full lot rather than only the worst panel.
Canadian vs other Tier 1 brands

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Canadian TOPBiHiKu6 590 W | N-type TOPCon bifacial | 22.8% | 30 years | about 32 kg | Rs 25,370 |
| Jinko Tiger Neo 585 W | N-type TOPCon mono-facial | 22.65% | 30 years | about 28 kg | Rs 25,420 |

Price per watt
| Panel | Per watt today |
|---|---|
| Canadian TOPBiHiKu6 590 W | Rs 43 |
| Jinko Tiger Neo 585 W | Rs 43.5 |
| Longi Hi-MO X7 585 W | Rs 42.8 |
| Market average | Rs 41.3 |
HiKu6 or TOPBiHiKu6?
| HiKu6 550 W | TOPBiHiKu6 590 W | |
|---|---|---|
| Price per plate | Hard to find now | Rs 25,370 |
| Price per watt | Hard to find now | Rs 43 |
| Cell type | P-type PERC | N-type TOPCon |
| Heat loss | -0.34%/°C | -0.29%/°C |
| Power warranty | 25 years | 30 years |
| Weight | about 27.6 kg | about 32.3 kg |
On a hot roof in Multan or Hyderabad, the 0.05%/°C difference adds up to around 2% more output from the TOPCon plate on summer afternoons, on top of slower ageing. If you do find HiKu6 old stock, pay the PERC price only if the per-watt saving is clear.
What stands out:
- Canadian’s 590 has the edge on efficiency at 22.8%, thanks to the extra 5 W in the same frame.
- Warranty matches the best. 30 years on power, the same as Jinko Tiger Neo and JA DeepBlue 4.0.
- It is a heavy plate. Dual glass adds about 4 kg per panel over a mono-facial plate. Check your structure.
- Availability is the weak spot. Expect to call a few dealers outside the big cities.

Our verdict
Canadian Solar is an underrated choice in Pakistan. The TOPBiHiKu6 590 W gives you top-tier efficiency, a 30-year power warranty and a glass back, from a brand that is less copied than the market leader. What you trade for that is weight and availability. If your dealer has genuine stock with paperwork, your structure is sized for 32 kg plates, and the price per watt is in line with Jinko and JA, it is a panel we would happily recommend.
Who should buy Canadian
- Homes with a raised steel structure or car porch where the bifacial rear can earn something
- Buyers who want a 30-year power warranty without buying the most counterfeited brand
- Commercial roofs where an installer already works with Canadian stock
Who should look elsewhere
- Small roofs where the extra weight is a concern; a mono-facial 585 W is lighter
- Buyers in smaller towns who need quick replacements from local stock
Where to buy Canadian solar panels
Canadian Solar panels reach Pakistan through importers and distributors, then through dealers and EPC installers. Stock levels change more than for Jinko.
- Karachi: the best place to find a range of Canadian models, as stock lands here first.
- Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan: larger solar dealers and EPC contractors can usually supply TOPBiHiKu6; ask in advance.
- Commercial installers: often the most reliable route for Canadian, since they buy direct from distributors.
What changes a Canadian solar panels price quote
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Model and bin (TOPBiHiKu6 585 or 590, or old HiKu6 stock) | N-type bifacial costs more per plate than PERC; higher bins cost a little more |
| 1500 V or 1000 V version | Usually a small difference; make sure it suits your inverter |
| Quantity | Full-system quantities often get a better per-plate rate |
| Delivery and loading | Glass-glass plates are heavy; delivery to the roof can add a noticeable amount |
| Stock age and dollar rate | Containers cleared at different times carry different landed costs |
When you compare Canadian solar panels price quotes from two dealers, line them up on exactly the same model code and quantity, then divide by watts.
Before you pay:
- Confirm the model code (CS6W-xxxTB-AG for the bifacial N-type) and the power bin.
- Check the back is glass and the weight is right.
- Get every serial on the invoice and a copy of the warranty statement.
- Ask who handles claims and how long replacement takes.
- Make sure your structure and clamps are suitable for a 32 kg dual-glass panel.
