Searching for solar panel companies in Pakistan brings up hundreds of names, but they are not all the same kind of business. Some make panels, some import them, some only install, and many do a bit of everything. This guide sorts out who is who, names companies whose role we could confirm from their own websites or reputable news, and gives you a checklist for choosing a seller or installer near you without getting burned.

Quick answer: who sells solar panels in Pakistan
Almost every panel on Pakistani roofs is made in China by large global manufacturers and brought in by importers. The companies you deal with fall into five groups:
- Global panel makers whose brands you buy: Jinko, Longi, JA Solar, Trina, Canadian Solar, Aiko, Astronergy, Risen and others. They do not usually sell direct to homeowners.
- Importers and distributors who bring these brands in by container and supply city dealers.
- Local brands that sell panels and other equipment under their own name, such as Inverex, usually made for them abroad.
- Installers and EPC companies that design and fit complete systems, from small local teams to firms like SkyElectric for homes and businesses and Reon Energy for industry.
- Shops and online sellers, from dealers in each city’s electronics and solar markets to national online stores.
Large-scale panel manufacturing inside Pakistan is still at the plan and proposal stage, as we explain below. So the best “company” for you is usually a reliable dealer or installer selling a genuine top-tier brand.
A practical way to think about it: choose the panel brand for quality, the dealer or distributor for genuine stock and a proper bill, and the installer for workmanship and after-sales. Sometimes one company covers all three. Often it is two or three different businesses, and that is fine as long as each one is accountable for its part. The rest of this page explains each layer, the companies we could confirm, and the questions that separate a reliable seller from a risky one.
How we checked this
This page names companies only where we could confirm what they do from the company’s own website or from established news outlets. We did not use paid listings, directory sites or “top 10” blogs, which often rank whoever pays.
| What we checked | Source type | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Panel brands and models sold in Pakistan | Our live price sheet and manufacturer datasheets | Confirms the brand is actually on the market |
| What a local brand sells | The brand’s own website | Avoids guessing product ranges |
| What an installer does | The installer’s own website or major business press | Separates home installers from industrial EPCs |
| Local manufacturing plans | Reputable news (Gulf News, Arab News, Profit) | Separates real factories from announcements |
We do not list phone numbers, addresses or branch details, because these change often and are easy to fake. Always find a company’s contact details from its own official website or from the brand’s authorised dealer list.
Naming a company here is not an endorsement or a ranking. Service quality varies by branch, by city and even by the team that comes to your roof. Use the checklist further down for whichever company you consider.

Importers and authorised distributors
Importers clear containers at Karachi port, pay the 10% sales tax that has applied to imported panels since 1 July 2025, and supply dealers across the country. Big brands appoint authorised distributors, and buying through that chain is what keeps your product warranty valid.
What to know about this layer:
- Importers set most of the price movement you see week to week, based on the dollar rate and their stock.
- The same brand can come in through several importers. Ask your dealer which distributor supplied the stock.
- Brands such as Jinko offer ways to check serial numbers. Our Jinko verification guide shows how.
Local brands
Several Pakistani companies sell solar equipment under their own brand. Panels sold under local brands are generally manufactured abroad to the company’s order, then backed by the local company’s warranty and service.
- Inverex: a local brand whose website lists solar panels (including TOPCon models in the 605 to 620 W class), hybrid and on-grid inverters, lithium batteries and installation services. Our sheet also tracks the Inverex Mustang N-type bifacial 585 W at Rs 24,280; its older 540 and 550 W Mono panels are no longer sold.
Our sheet also tracks budget brands such as Crown, whose N-type bifacial 585 W plate is currently Rs 23,400. With any budget or private-label brand, ask the seller which factory actually made the panel.
Local brands can be good value, especially when the company has a strong service network in your city. Ask for the panel’s actual manufacturer and datasheet, and check how warranty claims are handled.
Installers and EPC companies
An installer designs your system, supplies or sources the equipment, fits it, and usually handles the net-metering paperwork with your DISCO. In Pakistan this ranges from two-person teams to national firms.
| Installer type | Example (confirmed) | Typical customer | What to expect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Local installer | Many in every city | Homes and shops, 3 to 20 kW | Lowest price, quality depends on the team |
| National residential and business installer | SkyElectric: its website lists home systems of 10 to 20 kW with lithium storage, SME and commercial solutions, and offices in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi | Larger homes, SMEs | Packaged systems, monitoring, higher price |
| Industrial EPC | Reon Energy: described by Business Recorder as an industrial solar solutions provider and part of the Dawood Hercules Group | Factories, cement, telecom sites | Large captive and hybrid projects |
| Brand-linked installer | Local brands that also install, such as Inverex | Homes and shops | One company for equipment and fitting |
Shops, dealers and online sellers
If you search “solar panel shop near me” or “solar panel dealers near me”, you will mostly find city dealers and the online stores of larger retailers. Every big city has an electronics market where solar dealers cluster, and smaller towns are served by dealers who buy from those markets or straight from importers. Comparing three shops in the same market on the same day is the quickest way to learn the real rate, and it costs nothing but an afternoon.
Buying solar panels online is now common, and solar panel online purchase works well for buyers who already have an installer. Online shops show prices openly and deliver by truck, but you still need an installer. When you buy solar panels online, ask:
- Is the seller an authorised dealer for that brand?
- Does the price include delivery to your city and unloading?
- Will they give a proper bill with model and serial numbers?
- Who handles a broken or faulty plate on arrival?
Solar panel suppliers in Pakistan: how the chain works
Knowing the supply chain helps you understand why two shops quote different prices for the same plate, and where a fake or B-grade panel can slip in.
| Step | Who | What happens | Risk to you |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Manufacturer (abroad) | Makes and labels the panel, issues datasheet and flash test | Low; brand quality controls |
| 2 | Importer | Ships containers, clears customs, pays duties and tax | Mis-declared or grey stock |
| 3 | Distributor | Supplies dealers in a region, handles brand warranty claims | Unauthorised channels lose warranty |
| 4 | Dealer or shop | Sells per plate or per container lot | Mixed batches, relabelled B-grade |
| 5 | Installer | Buys from dealer, fits system | Swapping brand after quote |
| 6 | You | Pay, receive bill and serials | No bill means no claim |
The fewer unknown hands between the importer and your roof, the better. Large buyers sometimes buy straight from the distributor, while most homeowners buy through an installer, who buys from a dealer.
Buy solar panels in Pakistan: per plate, per kW or as a package
Solar panels for sale in Pakistan are priced in three ways, and mixing them up causes most arguments:
- Per plate: the price of one panel, common in shops. The cheapest 585 W plate on our sheet is Rs 23,400.
- Per watt: the plate price divided by its wattage, which lets you compare different sizes. The market average on our sheet is Rs 41.3 per watt.
- Per package: a complete system price for a given kW, including inverter, structure, wiring and labour. Panel cost alone for 10 kW of 585 W plates is Rs 421,200 on our current sheet.
When you purchase solar panels, convert every quote to per-watt for the panels and ask for the rest itemised. That turns a confusing set of quotes into a simple comparison.
Solar panel manufacturers in Pakistan: what is real
You will see headlines about panels being “made in Pakistan”. Here is the status of the plans we could confirm in reputable news:
| Plan | What was reported | When reported | Status in that report |
|---|---|---|---|
| Netline, near Islamabad | 180 MW per year panel factory, about USD 30 million in three phases | January 2023 (Gulf News) | Planned, expected to finish in 2026 |
| Jinko Solar in Punjab | Chief Minister invited Jinko to set up a plant in Punjab | December 2024 (Arab News) | Invitation only |
| Hebei Juhang Energy | Chinese group proposed a large panel factory; BoI offered land | December 2025 (Profit) | Early-stage proposal |
We could not confirm from these sources that any of these factories is now producing panels at scale, so treat “local” panels as imported or assembled from imported cells unless the seller shows proof. A small number of firms assemble panels locally from imported cells, but the market is overwhelmingly imported.
What a good installation company delivers
You can judge an installer by the work, not the brochure. On a well-done Pakistani rooftop job you should see:
- Separate DC and AC protection: DC breakers or fuses and a surge protector between panels and inverter, and an AC breaker on the output.
- Proper earthing: a dedicated earth pit for the structure and inverter, not a wire tied to a water pipe.
- Correct cable size: solar DC cable rated for the current (often 4 or 6 mm² for home strings), in conduit or trays, not loose on the roof.
- Genuine MC4 connectors: crimped with the right tool, not twisted or taped.
- A labelled distribution box so you or a technician can isolate the system safely.
- Structure bolted, not just welded, with galvanised or properly painted steel and rawl bolts into the slab.
- A commissioning sheet: string voltages, inverter settings and app login handed to you on the last day.
If a company cannot tell you in advance which of these it includes, ask for them in writing.
Finding solar panel companies near you
“Solar panels near me” searches work best when you add your city and DISCO, for example LESCO in Lahore, IESCO in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, or K-Electric in Karachi, because net-metering paperwork differs between distribution companies and a local installer already knows the process. Ask neighbours with systems who installed them and how after-sales has been. A company that has kept its customers happy for three or four summers in your area is worth more than any online ranking.
Our city pages, such as solar panel price in Lahore, give local notes on DISCOs and buying.

Comparison table: which kind of company to buy from
| You want | Best type of company | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Lowest panel price, you have an installer | City dealer or online shop | Fake or B-grade stock, no bill |
| Complete home system with net metering | Local installer or national installer | Underpowered inverter, thin structure |
| Monitoring and long service | National installer | Higher package price, compare items |
| Factory or large commercial roof | Industrial EPC | Contract terms, performance guarantees |
| One brand for panels, inverter and battery | Local brand with installation service | Check the panel’s actual maker |
| Installments | Installer or bank partner offering finance | Total markup over the term |
Who gives which warranty
Most disputes with solar companies come from not knowing who is responsible for what. Before you choose a company, make sure you know which of these you are getting and from whom:
| Warranty | Usually given by | Typical length | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Panel product warranty | Panel manufacturer, through the authorised distributor | 12 to 25 years depending on brand and model | Manufacturing defects in the panel |
| Panel performance warranty | Panel manufacturer | 25 to 30 years | Minimum power output over time |
| Inverter warranty | Inverter brand or its local service partner | 1 to 10 years by tier | Inverter faults and repairs |
| Battery warranty | Battery brand or importer | Years plus cycles, whichever first | Capacity loss and faults |
| Workmanship warranty | Installer | Often 1 to 5 years | Wiring, structure, leaks, loose connections |
A national installer may bundle all of these under one support line. A small local installer usually handles workmanship only and passes you to the brand for the rest. Either can work, as long as you know the arrangement before you pay.
For installment options, see our guide to solar panels on installments.
Buying checklist: choosing a solar company near you
- Check how long they have been working. Ask for three recent installations in your area that you can see, ideally a year old.
- Ask for a written, itemised quote. Panel brand and model, inverter model, battery (if any), structure type and gauge, cable sizes, breakers, earthing and net-metering work.
- Confirm the panel is genuine. Ask for the distributor’s name and serial numbers before delivery. Compare the rate with the solar panel price list.
- Check warranty paperwork. Product and performance warranty from the brand, workmanship warranty from the installer, and inverter warranty with the service centre named.
- Ask who handles net metering. A good installer manages the DISCO application and the meter change, and tells you the realistic timeline.
- Look at the structure. Ask for galvanised or properly painted steel of a stated gauge, and the number of legs per row.
- Pay in stages. A common fair pattern is an advance, a payment on delivery and the rest after commissioning. Avoid paying everything upfront.
- Get the system sized correctly. Use our solar panel calculator to check that the kW quoted matches your bill.
- Read reviews carefully. Look for complaints about after-sales service, not just installation day.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Choosing on price alone. The cheapest quote usually saves money on the parts you cannot see: cables, breakers, earthing and steel.
- Trusting a “company” with only a WhatsApp number. Look for a real office, a website or a registered business and a track record you can visit.
- Believing “made in Pakistan” without proof. Most panels are imported. Ask for the factory name on the datasheet.
- Skipping the bill. Without a proper bill showing model and serial numbers, brand warranty claims are very hard.
- Paying for a brand and receiving another. Check the back labels on delivery, before installation, against the quote.
- Letting the installer pick the inverter without discussion. The inverter decides backup and net metering. Choose it yourself.
- No after-sales plan. Ask who will visit if the system stops, how fast, and at what cost after the free period ends.
A good company makes the difference between a system that pays back in a few years and one that keeps tripping. Start with a genuine brand from our live rates on the home page, then choose the seller and installer carefully.

Frequently asked questions
Which are the main solar panel companies in Pakistan?
The panels sold in Pakistan come mainly from global makers such as Jinko, Longi, JA Solar, Trina, Canadian Solar, Aiko, Astronergy and Risen, brought in by importers and distributors. Local brands such as Inverex also sell panels under their own name, and installers range from small local teams to national firms.
Are solar panels manufactured in Pakistan?
Large-scale manufacturing is still at the plan stage. News reports cover a planned factory near Islamabad and proposals from Chinese companies, but most panels on the market are imported, with a small share assembled locally from imported cells.
How do I find a reliable solar panel shop near me?
Visit two or three dealers in your city's electronics or solar market on the same day, compare the per-watt rate for the same brand and model, and buy only with a proper bill showing model and serial numbers. Ask neighbours who installed their systems and how after-sales has been.
Is it safe to buy solar panels online in Pakistan?
Yes, if the seller is an authorised dealer, gives a proper bill and explains who handles broken plates on delivery. You will still need a separate installer unless the online seller offers installation in your city.
What is the difference between a solar dealer and an installer?
A dealer sells equipment such as panels, inverters and batteries. An installer designs and fits the complete system and usually handles net-metering paperwork. Some companies do both.
How can I check that a solar company is genuine?
Look for an official website, a registered business, a physical office and recent installations you can visit. Avoid sellers who only have a WhatsApp number or who refuse to put the panel model and serials on the bill.
Should I pay the full amount upfront to a solar company?
It is safer to pay in stages: an advance, a payment on delivery of equipment and the balance after commissioning. Get the payment schedule written into the quote.
Who gives the warranty, the brand or the installer?
Panel, inverter and battery warranties come from the brands through their authorised channels. The installer gives a separate workmanship warranty for wiring, structure and connections, so ask for both in writing.
